  • Walk for Water

Millions of women and children walk more than three miles to collect water each day for their families. Often, the water collected is unsafe to drink. But there is hope. This year, we will be walking to raise funds and awareness to help fight the global water crisis. Together, we will walk to bring clean, safe water to 15,000 people in need around the world.

  • Dear Parents and Students:

Chicora Elementary is part of Charleston County’s Acceleration Schools. The vision for our learning community is to empower teachers and school leaders to close the opportunity gap, equip scholars with the skills needed to thrive while prioritizing equity, and sustain success over time. With this framework, our goal for Chicora is to EXCEL. We will EXCEL by implementing proven instructional practices, and meeting the needs of all students by providing the right curriculum and time to learn concepts. Our goal is for every child to graduate from CCSD with the critical skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in college and the 21st Century global workforce.

This school year, we will continue with solid systems for student achievement and school climate.  Our main priority is continuing to build relationships with parents and our community partners. I truly believe fostering home and school connections build confidence in students.   We look forward to partnering with you as your child learns and grows at Chicora Elementary School!  We are so pleased to have you as a part of our Chicora Elementary family!
