Michael Hornacek

I am incredibly excited (and thankful) to be a part of the Jennie Moore Elementary family. I have a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and a master’s in administration and supervision from the University of Phoenix. I’m currently in my 21st year in education, having served ten years as a classroom teacher (3rd and 4th grade) and eleven as an administrator. I sincerely can’t wait to come to work every single day because each day is full of new opportunities to help make things better for teachers, parents and ESPECIALLY students!

 My love for the Arts and all things creative is a BIG part of why I’m so glad to be here at JME. I enjoy all things creative, including everything from writing/performing/recording music to visual art & design, audio production and performing in community theatre. Outside of school, my amazing wife Debbie and I enjoy living close to the ocean, having recently relocated to the Charleston area from the Midlands. In addition to our 4-lb. Yorkie (Brady), we have two incredible children (Landon - 22 & Maggie - 21) who will be graduating from college in the spring of 2020 (Lander University and the University of South Carolina respectively).
