• End-of-Course Examination Program (EOCEP)

    EOCEP Online Tools Training

The Education Accountability Act of 1998 requires that students in specific high school courses in the areas of English, math, Science and Social Studies take a state-developed final exam.  This program is called the End-of-Course-Examination Program (EOCEP) and the tests are referred to as EOCs.

Each exam counts 20 percent of the students' final grade in the following courses:

    • Algebra 1/Math for the Technologies 2 or Alg 1, Part 2
    • English 1
    • U.S. History and the Constitution
    • Biology 1/Applied Biology 2 (must be taken by the end of a student’s second year in high school)

The EOC exams are given to all students who are enrolled in courses in which the academic standards corresponding to the EOCEP tests are taught, regardless of course name or number.  The exams are given at the end of the semester in which the student is taking one of the courses.
