“Literacy is a fundamental human right and the foundation for lifelong learning. It is fully essential to social and human development in its ability to transform lives. For individual, families, and societies alike, it is an instrument of empowerment to improve one’s health, one’s income, and one’s relationship with the world.”
Literacy not only has academic applications, it also informs our financial and daily living decisions, our job choices, and, our ability to make informed decisions about our government and community.-UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization)
RESOURCESOur job as educators is to provide a rigorous, relevant, and effective education that ensures all students access to the skills necessary to be college and career ready and proficient in 21st century literacy. High school requires reading, writing, communicating, and analyzing a wide range of text across many disciplines. At R. B. Stall, we provide teachers with literacy strategies and support to fulfill our mission. Furthermore, we welcome the opportunity to equip parents with literacy knowledge and ways to best support academic success. Together we will applaud the academic success earned by our students - your children.
