Ms. Dorsey grew up in Greer, SC and graduated from Clemson in 2004. She taught gifted and talented for two years in Charlotte, NC before relocating to Charleston, SC in 2006. She began her career in Charleston County School District at Sullivan's Island Elementary School, teaching 4th and 5th grades before becoming the assistant principal at Stiles Point Elementary School in 2013. In 2017, she was appointed as the principal at Laurel Hill Primary School, where she remained until being named the principal at James B. Edwards for the 23-24 school year. Her family lives in West Ashley where her two daughters (ages 10 and 8) attend Orange Grove Charter School in the 3rd and 5th grades.
