    2022 Election Timeline

    September 12th, 2022: Call for Candidates will be distributed to the public. Each candidate must complete an online filing form. PCSASC will make these available to the school for online for submission and distribution. If a candidate is not able to complete the online candidate filing form, it is the school’s responsibility to assist the candidate with data entry.

    September 26th, 2022:  Close of filing period. Candidate filing will be closed at 12:00 (Noon) EDT.

    September 29th, 2022: Candidate information and application answers posted online.  

    October 4th-6th, 2022:  Election. Voting opens with e-ballot links emailed to each parent/guardian and employee of school. Voting will open at 7:30 AM on October 4th, 2022, and close at 4:00 PM on October 6th, 2022. There is one vote per child enrolled in the school and one vote per employee. Voting will be available via e-ballot allowing parents and employees to vote via the internet. Each ballot will have a unique pin number to ensure confidentiality and integrity of the process. Computers and paper ballots will be available at the school during normal school hours for families with no internet access or with limited computer knowledge.

    October 7th, 2022: Election results will be certified and announced publicly.  

    October 17th, 2022: Newly elected board members will be sworn in at the regularly scheduled October Meeting.  This completes the election process.

    Meeting and Training Requirements: Board Members are required to attend all board meetings.

    Mandated Board Training – Per South Carolina Law, all board members are required to attend board training within 1 year of being elected. Free trainings will be offered by the South Carolina Department of Education.
