  • Welcome to Burke High School, a comprehensive community high school located on the peninsula of Charleston, South Carolina. Rich in the tradition of excellence in academics, the arts, and athletics, each school year is embraced with great anticipation for success and student growth.

At Burke, your child will receive a world-class education in an environment led by nurturing and caring adults. We simply ask you to partner with us as we guide students toward an education that opens doors to college, careers, and engaged citizenry.

We believe instruction should be delivered in relevant, engaging and innovative ways. Therefore, opportunities abound at Burke. In addition to Career and Technology Education (CTE) programs such as building construction, culinary arts, digital art and design, health science, and engineering, students can participate in integrated project-based courses where lessons and projects connect to real-world situations and problems. They also have access to dual credit courses, advanced placement courses, and college preparatory course work.

Finally, please let us know how we can assist and support your child’s education at Burke, a nationally recognized school. We BARK loudest through Trust, Respect, and Responsibility.
