  • Burke High Wins Best Overall Architectural Design for Bridge Contest

It was a wonderful day for Burke at the Storm the Citadel event. We won Best Overall Architectural Design for the Bridge Contest, First runner up in the structural design of the bridge High School / College Division, (Bridge weight ratio to 100lb target - meaning we had a competitive bridge that was lighter than ours hold the targeted weight.) Overall we carried a weight of 357 lbs with the bridge before failure - well above all competitors that elected to test their bridges to failure... but it was not part of the contesting, just a learning opportunity. Kudos Mr. Kemp, Mr. Noble and students!
