Military Family Resources
Charleston County School District (CCSD) appreciates the service of our military families. Approximately 500 children of active-duty military families currently attend our schools.
The district thanks those who have already entrusted us with their children’s education, and welcomes those who are new to our area.
Please contact the district at 843-937-6300 with any questions regarding educational programs available for your school-age children.

Updates for Relocated Military Families Wishing to Apply for School Choice
CCSD—in accordance with the Interstate Compact on Educational Opportunity for Military Children—offers active military families choice options for enrolling their children in schools. Families are encouraged to participate in the choice application process.
Families relocating to Charleston after the School Choice application deadline are eligible to complete this application for enrollment for choice programs or schools. Each family should complete an application for each child wishing to attend a school other than the school to which the residence is assigned. Eligibility for programs will be determined if the child meets the entrance requirements for the program for which the family is applying.
Please direct general questions to the School Choice Office at (843) 937-6582.
