The counseling department will advocate and proactively address the changing needs of our students through small groups, in-classroom guidance and individual counseling.
The Simmons-Pinckney Middle School Guidance Counseling Department is committed to working collaboratively with all stakeholders (parents, families, teachers, administration, community) to ensure a comprehensive counseling curriculum that works to foster a student's academic, career, and personal success.
Our students, with parental permission, participate in MUSC's EMPOWERR Program
CALLING ALL 8TH GRADE PARENTS!
It will soon be time to set up your 8th grade student’S IGP Meeting. What’s an IGP meeting? An Individual Graduation Plan (IGP) is a school document that each student and his or her parent/guardian and guidance counselor create to help the student focus on his or her interests, abilities, and career goals. A parent or parental designee is required to attend the IGP conference.
Please email to set up a time to meet with Ms. Worrell!
