Mr. Sims began his career in 2004, serving as a kindergarten teacher for 10 years in Concord, NC.  In 2014, he moved to Mt. Pleasant and joined the Laurel Hill family, teaching 1^st grade and kindergarten before landing the role as assistant principal in 2018. 

He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and a Master’s in Educational Leadership from the University of South Carolina.  In his spare time he enjoys running, spending time with family and friends, and cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs.
