Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Dorsey began her career in education in 2004 as a Gifted and Talented teacher in 5th grade in Charlotte-Mecklenburg County Schools in Charlotte, NC. She moved to Mount Pleasant, SC during the summer of 2006 and began teaching 5th grade at Sullivan's Island Elementary School. While at Sullivan's Island, she taught 4th and 5th grade before becoming the Partial Magnet Coordinator for the school as they transitioned to an Environmental Sciences focus and built the new school on the beach. In 2013, she was offered the position of Assistant Principal at Stiles Point Elementary School on James Island. She remained there until 2017 when she accepted the position as principal at Laurel Hill Primary School and joined the Loggerhead Family.
Mrs. Dorsey holds a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Clemson University and a Master's in Educational Leadership from The Citadel. When not at Laurel Hill, you can find Mrs. Dorsey spending time with her husband, Chris, and two daughters, Madelyn and Blakeley, cheering on her Tigers, and enjoying the beach.
