Rigamajig® comes to North Charleston Elementary
North Charleston Elementary School (NCES) encourages students to explore and pursue their interests in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) skills in fun and engaging ways. The school recently received a new Rigamajig®, granted through a partnership between The CarMax Foundation and KABOOM!, to provide a fun, play-based learning experience focused on building 21st-century skills.

Pulse of CCSD
CCSD employees, directly and indirectly, influence our scholars every day with little to no intention on being recognized. In an effort to honor even the most humble, the district is rolling out a recognition campaign to highlight these individuals that serve as the backbone or structure that supports the mission of CCSD.

Unsung Educator of the Week
The "Unsung Educator of the Week" is a weekly honor given to a CCSD educator. The winner is nominated by a peer because of their determination to go above and beyond for our students. The winner for the week is published each Friday in the CCSD All Staff newsletter.

Trooper Bob
This marks the second school year in which CCSD has partnered with ABC News 4 and Trooper Bob for the Trooper Bob safety Squad safety campaign. Promos and infomercials began airing September 8 and among those (and new this year) are safety messages about COVID-19 protocols on the bus, in school building/campus, and proper handwashing and mask-wearing tips.
