STEM studies picking up STEAM in CCSD

Baptist Hill dance teacher wins Social Emotional Learning award
Melissa Murdock, Baptist Hill Middle High School dance teacher, won a Social Emotional Learning (SEL) in Action Award. In partnership with the NoVo Foundation and Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors, she was selected as one of 105 recipients from 800 applications nationwide and is the only CCSD educator to win this award.

CCSD is excited to announce a partnership with Vertical Roots, a leading indoor hydroponic container farming company in the country. Vertical Roots produces nutrient-rich lettuce with globally recognized food safety standards inside its eco-friendly, upcycled container farms.

Mobile healthcare benefits CCSD students and their families
Over 300 students and families at Baptist Hill Middle High School and Jerry Zucker Middle School now have medical services right on their school campuses thanks to a partnership with Fetter Health Care Network and the Charleston County School District.
