What to do if I have an Android tablet?
Go to your app store.
Download the apps requested by your student's teacher. Not sure what those are? Try the following: Dreambox, Lexia, Myon, and Mackinvia-all are free
Unfortunately, some Android tablets are not letting people download Lexia and a Kindle Fire may not let you download apps.
Please tell your child's teacher if you cannot access an app. We will work with you!!!
Where do I get free wifi?
CCSD wifi busses are coming around to neighborhoods and schools, including Northwoods Middle School, to offer free wifi. You can sit in your car and use your device. Check the schedule here: https://www.ccsdschools.com/Page/4631

Certain restaurants offer free wifi. McDonalds, Starbucks, and Ruby Tuesday all offer free wifi. You may need to check with them because you won't be able to go inside.
Internet Essentials from Comcast is offering two free months. You have to apply.

Unfortunately, CCSD cannot help with devices that are non-CCSD issued. However, if your CCSD issued device is not working, there will be technicians available for device exchanges at the following locations:
Bus Schedule for Device Exchange:
Starting Tuesday, March 24, 2020, technicians from Charleston County School District's Information Technology Department will be at locations throughout the county to exchange broken CCSD-issued devices with working devices. This support is being offered to both students and CCSD staff who need to replace a device.
