• Transportation Changes

    It is essential that your student’s afternoon transportation is arranged prior to school each day. Transportation changes must be made in writing and received by 2:00pm in a note to the teacher, fax to the school (843-769-2236), or an email to springfield_attendance@charleston.k12.sc.us. 

    There are no exceptions to this.  

     

    Car Riders

    All students who ride by car will be dropped off and picked up in front of the building. Drivers should enter from Pinehurst Avenue in a single file manner. Cars should exit only down Pinehurst Avenue. Please click below to view the transportation map.

    Students who ride in cars will be dismissed at 3:30 pm. You must have your Security Car Placard. Cars without a placard must park and come into the main office after dismissal is over. Replacement or additional placards may be purchased for $5.00.

    Note: Breakfast

    Students report directly to their classrooms unless they are eating breakfast. Cafeteria will stop serving breakfast for car rider students at 8:25 am. The instructional day begins at 8:30 am.

    Car rider students arriving after 8:25 a.m. must be accompanied by a parent/guardian to the front office.  Parent/Guardian must park in the parking lot and sign in the student before he/she is admitted to class.  Students are marked tardy if they arrive after 8:30 a.m.

     

    Bus Riders

    Buses will leave the school as soon as they are loaded in the afternoon. For more information on bus routes and communication, please use the link below to visit the CCSD Transportation Page.

    Walkers/Bikers

    Walkers and bikers will be released after the buses and car riders depart. Parents who choose to walk home with their children must wait until walkers and bikers have been released. 

     

    Early Check-Outs

    No students may be checked out after 2:30 pm. Identification must be shown in the office when a child is picked up. For the safety of our children, only parents, someone on the emergency card, or someone that the parent has indicated in writing ahead of time, will be allowed to pick up a child.

     

     

    Cambios del Transporte

    Es esencial que el transporte de la tarde de su alumno se arregle antes del día escolar cada día. Los cambios del transporte se deben hacer en forma escrita y recibidos antes de las 2:00 pm por una nota al maestro, un fax a la escuela al (843-769-2236), o un correo electrónico a springfield_attendance@charleston.k12.sc.us. 

    No habrá excepciones.  

     

    Viajeros en Coche 

    Todos los viajeros en coche serán dejados y recogidos enfrente del edificio. Los conductores deben entrar por Pinehurst Avenue de fila india. Los coches deben salir solamente por Pinehurst Avenue. Por favor haga clic abajo para ver el mapa del transporte.

    Los alumnos que viajan en coche saldrán a las 3:30 pm. Debe tener su Cartel de Seguridad de coche. Los coches sin cartel deben estacionarse y venir a la oficina principal después de que se acabe la salida. Los carteles repuestos o adicionales se pueden comprar por $5.00.

    Apunte: El Desayuno

    Los alumnos reportan directamente a sus salones de clase a menos que estén desayunando. La cafetería deja de servir el desayuno para los viajeros en coche a las 8:25 am. El día instruccional comienza a las 8:30 am.

    Los alumnos que viajan en coche que lleguen después de las 8:25 a.m. deben ser acompañados por un padre / tutor a la oficina principal. El padre / tutor debe estacionarse en el estacionamiento y firmar la entrada del alumno antes de que él / ella se admita a clase. Los alumnos son marcados tarde si llegan después de las 8:30 a.m.

     

    Viajeros en Autobús

    Caminantes / Ciclistas

    Los caminantes y ciclistas saldrán después de que salgan los autobuses y los viajeros en coche. Los padres que seleccionan acompañar sus hijos a casa caminando deben esperar hasta que salgan los caminantes y ciclistas. 

    Salida Temprana

    Nadie puede firmar la salida temprana de ningún alumno después de las 2:30 pm. La identificación se debe mostrar en la oficina cuando se recoge a un alumno. Para la seguridad de nuestros niños, sólo los padres, alguien que está enumerada en la tarjeta de emergencias, o alguien indicado por el padre de forma escrita de antemano, podrán recoger a un alumno.
