Welcome Message

  • Dear Wildcat Families,

It is my sincere honor and privilege to welcome you to West Ashley High School. It is an exciting time to be a Wildcat and a resident of the West Ashley Community.

As a parent myself, I have much appreciation for all that you do to provide the best educational opportunities for your children. When it comes to selecting where they will attend high school, look no further. West Ashley High School is YOUR neighborhood school, where the opportunities for students are endless.

Through a rigorous course of study via honors, Advanced Placement (AP), and dual enrollment courses, West Ashley High is committed to preparing students for post-secondary success. Students have access to over 30 AP and dual enrollment as well as 175+ courses ranging from mechatronics and auto mechanics to biomedical engineering, health science, and sports medicine.

Wildcats have not only done well academically but have the opportunity to excel in the various co-curricular activities that are available. Students participate in both 5A athletic programs and fine arts areas where they can develop their visual and performing arts skills as well.

All Wildcats have access to the West Ashley Center for Advanced Studies (CAS), a state-of-the-art facility built right on the West Ashley High campus. It houses several Career and Technology Education (CTE) programs including engineering, welding, automotive technology, mechatronics, health science, media technology, cyber security, biomedical sciences, and much more.

We are excited for your child to join us at West Ashley High as they continue on their educational career.

    Go Wildcats!

    Ryan Cumback

    Principal
