  • COVID-19 DASHBOARD REPORTING

The district reports confirmed positive COVID-19 cases and numbers of individuals identified for quarantine (as a close contact) by location. Cases that are reported to the district on a Saturday are attached to the previous week, and cases reported on Sunday are included in Monday's count.

The CCSD COVID-19 Dashboard is updated twice a day Monday through Friday (by 9:00 a.m. and then again around 5:00 p.m.) for the next few weeks while the spread of the virus remains high in the community.

  • Quarantine periods are enforced consistently in alignment with DHEC recommendations, which currently require 10 days of quarantine for close contacts.
CCSD does not accept the 7-day quarantine option due to the high community rate.

  • In an effort to provide additional clarification on the quarantine and close contact guidelines set forth by the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (SCDHEC) in their School Guidance Booklet that are used in our schools, we are sharing the following illustrations of various scenarios regarding the determination of close contacts when a positive case occurs

    Reminder to Parents/Guardians

Please help our schools safe by monitoring your child for any symptoms that could be related to COVID-19, and do not send them to school if they are symptomatic or if they have been close contact with a COVID-positive person outside of school. The most common symptoms include new or worsening cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, and loss of taste and smell.
