CCSD Board of Trustees announces candidate visits
The Charleston County School District Board of Trustees, in partnership with the BWP search firm, has conducted a very thorough search to find highly qualified candidates for the job of Superintendent of Charleston County School District.

Springfield’s Spencer Quinlan named 2023 CCSD Teacher of the Year
CCSD staff members surprised Springfield Elementary School teacher Spencer Quinlan today with the announcement that she had been chosen as the 2023 CCSD Teacher of the Year. Lexy Marianiello of Burke High School was named runner-up.

UPDATED - Schedule for voluntary COVID-19 and Flu test clinics April - June
The district, through a grant from DHEC, will provide free COVID-19 and Flu A and B testing for all students and staff, who wish to be tested, through the end of the current school year.

Three-peat complete - Wando takes girls’ soccer state title in penalty kicks
Wando High School remains the top girls’ soccer program in the state. In fact, the Warriors are in the dynasty phase now that they have won three straight South Carolina High School League AAAAA state championships.

Unsung Educator of the Week
The "Unsung Educator of the Week" is a weekly honor given to a CCSD educator. The winner is nominated by a peer because of their determination to go above and beyond for our students. The winner for the week is published each Friday in the CCSD All Staff newsletter.
