CCSD has been recognized as one of only 11 large urban school districts in the nation to experience student enrollment growth over the past eight years, according to a newly released report from the Council of the Great City Schools (CGCS).

Rising 9th-12th graders had the opportunity to explore architecture as a career path through project-based learning and structured field study experiences. Led by Clemson faculty, in cooperation with CCSD Career and Technical Education teachers and career specialists, the camps were held at the Clemson Design Center, housed in the renovated Old Cigar Factory building in downtown Charleston.

The Charleston County School District (CCSD) has named Judith Condon as Interim Executive Director and will join the Elementary Learning Community Team, effective immediately.
