Mission/Purpose: To promote school success for children by providing a comprehensive literacy-based program for families.

The Child and Family Development Center is a Family Literacy Center serving children from six weeks to four years of age. The Center is a Charleston County School District collaborative model housing Early Head Start, Even Start, Head Start, and Adult and Parent Education programs. Each program operates both independently and as part of an integrated whole to achieve the vision and mission/purpose of the Center.
