UNIQUE ASSETS: Moultrie Middle School is located in the heart of old Mt. Pleasant. Our school is a community school, with 50% of our students walking to school, riding bicycles or skateboards, or riding in carpools. We have self-contained classes for Learning Disabled students, Trainable Mentally Disabled students, and Autistic students. Forty-nine percent (49%) of our students qualify for services as Gifted and Talented.

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT: Our PTA contributes significantly to the success of Moultrie. Their monetary contributions are helpful in meeting our goals; however, the time and talents they give to our school are immeasurable. The Town of Mt. Pleasant Rec. Department places football players and cheerleaders on teams and squads according to the school they attend, contributing to school spirit. The weekly Farmers' Market is held on Moultrie's campus every Tuesday from April to November. Community members serve as speakers for career day and as valuable resources for our faculty and administration.
