OVERVIEW: The Advanced Studies Magnet- Haut Gap will begin with the enrollment of 50 sixth grade students in August 2009.  The goal of the Advanced Studies Magnet will
be to provide students the opportunity to:
• Deepen student knowledge of academic subjects in order to exceed challenging state
academic and achievement standards.
• Encourage inquiry and exploration.
• Increase student acquisition of marketable career, technological and professional skills.
• Enhance equitable access for all students to high quality education.
• Provide a unique and personalized learning experience through a varied academic tract.
• Offer a rigorous and expanded core curriculum in all four content areas.
