Background

In order to carry out its educational mission, Charleston County School District owns and operates a number of school facilities and properties as established in the current Educational Facilities Master Plan. Because of changes in the characteristics of the District, such as enrollment and student assignment patterns, it may from time to time be necessary to add or to reduce, on a temporary basis, the number of facilities and properties to support the District's educational program, and its core values and mission.

On June 22, 2009, the Board of Trustees approved the sale and/or lease of various properties.
