CCSD —like so many other national and local organizations, public and private —is facing a severe budget crisis that stems back to Summer 2008, when the district cut the central office budgets by 17%, borrowed $7 million from the fund balance, and took other steps to bridge financial gaps while staying true to the "victory in the classroom." CCSD is shoring up for a budget shortfall for next year.
