School Redesign Phase 2
Based on the feedback provided in the Phase I community engagement meetings and on the surveys, the original 16 draft criteria were narrowed down to a set of 12 measures framed around the three core topics of Educational Quality, Demographic Factors, and Facility Conditions. Each criterion is rated on a scale of one to four, with a maximum point value of 48. At the October 13, 2008 meeting, the CCSD Board of Trustees voted to adopt the revised criteria.
Using the data collected on these twelve criteria, the district developed draft options that were formally presented to the Board on December 8th (PowerPoint presented to the Board). Looking at the Redesign Spreadsheet, the shaded schools were not considered for redesign. These options were presented to the community through Phase II community engagement sessions, being posted on the CCSD website, and being distributed by CCSD schools. Community members provided their input by completing surveys.
