This week, Superintendent Dr. Nancy J. McGinley shares information regarding the H1N1 flu shots being administered in CCSD schools, recent athletic achievements made by several of the district's high school teams, the Charleston Children's Zone, and the Teacher of the Month award given this week to Ms. Deborah Belflower.

Learn about upcoming activities in Charleston County's public schools and access links with more information. This week's featured event is the Parent Information Fair on Saturday, November 14 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Burke High School! The fair features opportunities to learn first-hand about tutoring services available through No Child Left Behind, CCSD's magnet and charter schools and programs, the Title I Advisory Council, and other services.

Teacher of the Month- November 2009: Ms. Deborah Belflower

On Wednesday, November 11, Dr. Nancy McGinley surprised Moultrie Middle sixth grade science teacher Ms. Deborah Belflower as the November Teacher of the Month.
