Mission

The mission of the Charleston County School District, a dynamic system of challenging educational choices, is to increase student achievement and close the gap between groups in order to prepare all students to compete in a global economy and make a positive contribution to our community and nation.

Vision

All students with disabilities will be provided a full continuum of services supporting a successful transition to school, work and community.

Beliefs

We believe all students with disabilities will be provided with high quality, rigorous, and relevant instruction aligned with the general education curriculum with access to their school and community. We also believe that students with disabilities should be treated with respect for their unique and diverse attributes.
