Nursing Services - Immunizations
The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control requires specific vaccinations for students based on their age. It is very important to check with your doctor and make an appointment for your child to receive any required vaccinations. Proof of immunization must be provided to your school, and forgetting to schedule vaccinations may prevent your student from returning to school on time at the beginning of the year!
CCSD 7th graders (attention, parents!) have you had your T-dap vaccine yet? If so, please bring your record to your school nurse as soon as possible.
The T-dap vaccine, which protects students from tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis (also known as whooping cough) is a NEW requirement for ALL rising 7th graders. According to SC law, students without up-to-date immunization records may not come to school after October 4th.
7th grader T-dap clinics are being held September 18-20 at DHEC Northwoods from 3-8pm. Call 953-0090 for an appointment. (Walk-ins will be accepted, as well.)
Please share this information with your friends, family and neighbors! For more information about immunization requirements, visit www.scdhec.gov/scimmunize or call your child’s doctor.
South Carolina law requires the following shots in order for a child to be admitted to any CCSD school program CD-12th Grade:
