The funeral for Deputy Joe Matuskovic will have a significant impact on traffic in the West Ashley area and may cause bus delays. Belle Hall Celebrates Star Spangled Banner

Sept. 12, 2014 -- Belle Hall Elementary students celebrated the Bicentennial of The Star Spangled Banner by singing the national anthem at the flag pole in front of their school. Teachers collaborated to bring awareness of core school themes: freedom and liberty. Pictured: Belle Hall students and Boy Scouts from Pack 11.

Summer Feeding Program a Huge Success!

CCSD's Nutrition Services Department expanded summer meals this year, including piloting a "food truck" which was a huge success. Pictured: Chris and Denfield, our food truck coordinators...who went the extra mile, passing out summer reading books to students during meal times!

CCSD's Personalized Learning Initiative

Goodwin Elementary students are so excited to be a part of the Personalized Learning Initiative. They are working hard on Day 1 to build their shared vision, which includes classmates answering the question "Why do you come to school?"

Cario Middle School Band Directors Earn International Recognition

Jeff Scott and Emily Wilkinson, Cario Middle School Band Directors, co-authored the teaching manual "Habits of a Successful Middle School Band Director." Wando Band Director Scott Rush also contributed to the book. Due to the book's success, Mr. Scott and Mrs. Wilkinson have been invited to speak at multitude of prestigious conferences!

Wando Nutrition Warriors

The Wando Warriors Cafeteria Team helped to pump up team spirit before last week's game. The two team members in full pads are Wando's Food Services Managers, Harry and Kat. They wore the full uniform all day!
