Presidential Award for Excellence

President Obama named 213 mathematics and science teachers as recipients of the prestigious Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching. One of CCSD’s own, Rebecca Strong, a sixth grade science teacher at Cario Middle, was among those to earn this distinction.

Empathy for All

Memminger Elementary kicked off its year-long, school-wide, #empathyforall campaign this week. Kindergartners through 5th graders attended an assembly and received their #empathyforall t-shirts as an outward sign of something that is happening inside the walls of Memminger.
