Thank you to NCCAE Volunteer David Lemmon
Mr. David Lemmon is the "resident horticulturalist" at North Charleston Creative Arts Elementary and has transformed the entrance there as the school awaits its new building. Mr. Lemmon has spent the last two weeks prepping the NCCAE front grounds for the beginning of the school year. A special thank you to this dedicated and caring parent!
Our personalized learning department is being heralded at the national level, and promises to revolutionize the classroom by creating a student centered, competency based model with proven results in order to close the readiness gap for all students. Mary Ford Students are College Bound!
We love this Facebook photo and post from Mary Ford Elementary School: "It's a great day for learning at Mary Ford Elementary School. Ask your child to recite the college bound creed that they say every morning. We want our scholars to know and believe that they can go to college!"
Kindergartners at Harbor View were ecstatic to welcome Challenger, the American Bald Eagle, to Charleston. Not only did they get to see the eagle they read about last year, they got to see the bird fly around the gymnasium! Thank you to the American Eagle Foundation for making a special trip for our students.
There is still time to register for early childhood options for children ages 3 to 5 at CCSD! We offer both full-day and half-day programs at Mary Ford, Burns, Goodwin, Chicora, Lambs, North Charleston Elementary, Pepperhill, Stono Park, Charleston Progressive Academy, and Memminger.
